Crosscutting and Fusion of Disciplines presented at the International Architecture Symposium of Dicle University

Within the scope of the 4th International Architecture Symposium of Dicle University, Professor Ružica Bogdanović delivered a lecture as an invited speaker in the session themed “Design and Application Practices in Architectural Sciences”.

The lecture titled “Crosscutting and Fusion of Disciplines – A New Approach on Interdisciplinarity in Architecture” presented new cycle of the STRAND “On Architecture” series examining interdisciplinarity in architecture today.

Ružica acted as a member of the Scientific Committee for the Symposium that is organized by Faculty of Architecture at Dicle University, Türkiye that was held 23–24 October, 2025.

This year’s symposium, themed “Design and Application Practices in Architectural Sciences,” aims to address both theoretical and practical approaches that shape the discipline of architecture.

The event seeks to create an interdisciplinary platform for sharing knowledge in the fields of architecture and design, with the goal of contributing current research and innovative work to the academic community.

Presenting journal Acta Architectonica et Urbanistica (AAeU) published by the University of Sarajevo

Acta Architectonica et Urbanistica (AAeU) is a double-blind peer-reviewed international research journal in the field of architecture and urbanism published by the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Architecture.

We are excited to announce that Professor Ružica Bogdanović was invited to join Advisory Board as an international member.

Journal focuses on research of cities and buildings and explores a wide spectrum of relevant topics, bridging the gap between theory and practice in the disciplines of architecture and urbanism.

Serbian Architectural Journal (SAJ) with Professor Ružica Bogdanović as Guest Editor

We are excited to announce that Professor Ružica Bogdanović was invited to make a contribution as a Guest Editor of the Serbian Architectural Journal – SAJ Volume 13 (saj-journal.org).

SAJ is an international, peer-reviewed journal published by the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade (Serbia), since 2009.

The multi-part Volume 13 is themed LESSONS FROM EXPERIENCE AND PERSPECTIVES FOR EDUCATION.

Presenting WEAR Sustain – A Two Year Innovation Action Study

WEAR Sustain project

WEAR (Wearable technologists Engage with Artists for Responsible Innovation) Sustain is a 2 year project, funded by the European Commission Horizon 2020 research and innovation initiative to engage art, design and creative industries to work more closely with technology and engineering industries, to shift the development of the wearables and e-textile landscape towards a more sustainable and ethical approach.

STRAND is pleased to announce that our own Ruzica Bogdanovic is taking participation as expert in reviewing second and final open call for entries that invites artists, designers, technologists and engineers to co-create next generation wearables or e-textiles.

The aim of this competition is to support creative and technology collaboration for the evolution of critical, ethical, sustainable and aesthetic wearable technologies. The scope includes wearables and e-textiles worn on the body that may generate body data and/or data about your environment. WEAR Sustain will support strong, well developed project ideas and take prototypes to the next level.

Ružica Bogdanović Invited Speaker at Dicle University 1st International Architecture Symposium

STRAND founding member Ružica Bogdanović will take participation as an Invited Speaker and member of Scientific Board at Dicle University International Architecture Symposium.

The Symposium will be held 4-6 October at Dicle University Faculty of Architecture, Turkey .

The Symposium aims to discuss the values which are placed in the social memory and ​​that give life to the architectural culture and are enriched through the theme “FROM ENVIRONMENT TO SPACE…”

In this first symposium where competent scientists, researchers and representatives are brought together, the aim is to broadly question research and experiences in relation with architecture through the main theme of “FROM ENVIRONMENT TO SPACE” and evaluate problems that arise on an international level.

Hosting in Diyarbakir as a city listed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 2015.

Salon of Architecture 2018

Ružica Bogdanović named Jury Member at Salon of Architecture

STRAND Association is proud to announce that our very own founder Ružica Bogdanović was nominated as a Jury member at the popular annual architectural competition Salon of Architecture.

The 40th Salon of Architecture will be held from 29 March to 5 May 2018 at Museum of Applied Art, Vuka Karadžića 18, Belgrade, Serbia.

The Jury of 40th Salon of Architecture consisting of prominent professionals Ružica Bogdanović, Branko Belaćević, Predrag Milutinović, Veljko Radulović and Snežana Ristić will evaluate and award the Grand Prix Award, first Prizes and Recognition by categories.

For this year’s 40th Salon 180 works were submitted in all categories. The jury included 106 works in athe official selection, out of which 75 competitions in 6 categories are classified in the competition for awards (competition and student works are excluded from the category for awards).
